The Politics Society is the largest non-partisan political student organization at New York University.
We strive to create a space where students can engage in meaningful and respectful political discourse, hear from experts in their fields, and learn more about politics and policy from a number of different perspectives. We host a variety of events year-round and welcome you to attend no matter your political affinity. The Politics Society has been rapidly-growing and we look forward to inviting both new and current members of the NYU community to participate in our organization.

In the Zeitgeist is New York University’s leading nonpartisan undergraduate political opinion publication, published under the Politics Society.
Founded in 2019, In the Zeitgeist is dedicated to providing a platform for students to learn about and engage with politics, public policy, economics, and current events. The publication hosts writers and accepts pitches from all over the ideological spectrum; our mission is to provide an open forum for political thought on campus. We cover both international and domestic issues.
The publication is run entirely by undergraduate students, publishing articles on a weekly basis. It contains three kinds of works: op-eds, feature articles, and personal essays. For inquiries, email nyuzeitgeist@gmail.com.

Our team opens applications at the start of every semester and welcomes applications no matter your background or journalistic experience level. We seek to bring together writers and editors from a variety of majors, backgrounds, perspectives, and policy interest areas.
